Dare to Dream

It all started as a dream. I do not know whether I can achieve it but I keep dreaming. And finally one day I managed to drive my dream car. Its AUDI A4. When I was an employee of a bank, I have never dreamt of anything so high and big. Its all about working from 9 to 5, month end closing, salary at the end of the month, bonuses and increment. I worked hard and my performance is determined by some other. I cannot decide when I get promoted, what is the percentage of my bonuses etc..etc..etc.

But when I join this industry, it all changed. Being a unit trust agent is a CAREER. Not a mere unit trust consultant. This career teaches me to dream big and to go for it. Alhamdulilah, everything works out well. Although there are ups and downs (which job does not have one, right?) I love my career. I don't sell unit trusts products, I sell to people their hope to increase their wealth, their income. Its a noble career in a way, helping people to achieve their target return.

Ask yourself what is your dream? Can your current status allow you to achieve your dream? If it does, Alhamdulilah..go for it. But if it doesn't ask yourself why? Maybe a change in career can help you to achieve your big dreams. Nothing is impossible in this world....with the the help of Allah of course.

Why Unit Trust Consultant?

I was once a rat racer just like most of you now. After 11 years I decided to quit. Not because I didn't like my job. I loved doing accounts, the reconciliation, debit credit and everything that comes with it.

But I was tired of the office politics, the bosses, the unfair treatment ( you did the job someone else get the credit- sounds familiar?. So I took the plunge. Braved myself for the new challenge. So why UTC?

1) You are your own boss.
2) You work at your own time.
3) you decide what level of income you want.
4) You will be rewarded when you work hard and no one else gets the credit.

Ni baru yang non-material. (there i start with my rojak rambling).

Being Unit trust consultants ada 8 types of income...best tak? Besides the income, you will get free trips if you meet the required sales target. Susahhhhh? tak lahhhh.

When I joined as full time agent in 2009, I qualified to Korea.

2010 - Beijing qualifier
2011 - Los Angeles qualifier
2012 - Already an Amsterdam qualifier.

These are all free trips. You need to only bring your pocket money. Better still the company can give you duit shopping. How? I will tell you how when you contact me.

So that was the reason why I said in my earlier post, deciding to become a full time agent is the best decision I have ever made in my life. Plus so much more reasons of which I can share with you.

The Introduction.

I am sure at this era, unit trust is not something alien to Malaysian society. You can see them anywhere, get their agents' call at least once in your lifeime. Sometimes you are being chased by them in order to get your contact. Very bold aren't they.

I am a unit trust agent with the no 1 company in Malaysia, ( for reasons stated by the law, I can't mention the name of the company but its the one with the red colour).

My name is Nor Bayani Abu Bakar or Noni as what I normally presents myself to people.

This is my blog about my career.

After graduating from Manchester, UK in 1997, I joined a well known bank as an Auditor and later worked in the accounts department for 11 years. I was once a unit trust investor and decided to become an agent just to have an extra income at the end of the month.

But after 6 months of joining I decided to quit my job and become a full time agent. I have to say that it was the best decision I have ever made in my life. And you will see why in my next rambling. I am now attach to an agency called QR Winners which was founded by my GAM, Rohani Abdul Aziz.

Before I end this introduction session, I need to say that this blog is something of a "santai" blog. Therefore you will find my language will become rojak every now and then.
